AusJets was founded in 2008 by Rob Orrock. After having spent several years searching for a low cost option for getting into Turbines. Even attempting to do a home build from plans, with some items such as turbine wheels prefabricated. This worked in that he could get a turbine that would spin up with compressed air and gas. Next up was to attempt to build/program my his own FADEC using a modtronix development board. During this time a new baby and moving to a new house resulted in damage to the homebuilt turbine and a lack of time to work on programing the fadec. Then after extensive research he discovered JetJoe Turbines, when first released these little engines had their share of teething problems. However the newest models coming out of the factory are of a much better quality. However some knowledge of FADEC's and Turbines is required to get these engines running to the best of their ability. After lengthy discussions with Joe from JetJoe and Brett Smith the Australian Service Representative, it was decided to launch AusJets.com to offer others the chance to get into turbines at a much lower cost than was previously available. The primary reason they believe we can do this is the combination of local knowledge, local support, local maintainance and warranty work. To ensure that their customers get the best possible experience with their turbine, AusJets test run all turbines when they arrive in the country. When a turbine is purchased as part of a combo with a Fadec or in the value for money flight pack, AusJets tunes the fadec with the turbine and fuel pump. All this predelivery work is included in the price and ensures that the customer receives a turbine that performs to the best of its ability. AusJets has now expanded to become the sole Australian Dealer for the Jet Central Artes range of turbines, complete with their Lifetime Warranty.
