Hey Everybody,

This post is more for a clubmate of mine than it is for me. He is looking to get into the world of turbine jets. After messing around with Glow Ducted Fan, and then into EDF, he does have a bit of experience in the way a jet handles.

Can any of you reccomend a good into, both airframe, turbine (are ECU's normally included?) as well as things to keep in mind when starting out. ARF is preferred, buecause, like for many of us, time is money

Price is somewhat a concern, although it is acknoleged that turbine models are more expensive, $1000 for just an airframe isnt where he wants to start out.

Thanks fellers

Liam

Liam,
If he is looking for a great trainer and doesnt mind building, there is the jetmach series. The high wing version flies like a boomerang 60, given he sounds experienced he could look at the low wing version that takes retracts, but still lands nice and slow under power with large flaps.

For ARF you can look at the X-treme F-16 or Skymaster F-16 both of which are recognised as great first turbine airframes. Also we soon will be able to offer the Fei Bao Velox which goes perfectly with the Super Bee or new RABBIT.

We are also looking into an ARF version of the Jetmach, and hope to have it available in the very near future as a package.

All of our turbines come a ready to fly packs, which include ECU, solenoid, Cut Off unit, etc. All you have to do is install it in an airframe.

If you look under our trainer packages you will see both jetmachs are available bundled with a turbine.
Also under package deals you will find the x-treme F-16.. For combo deals on skymaster please contact me on This e-mail address is being protected from spam bots, you need JavaScript enabled to view it

Regards,
Rob
