AusJets is proud to announce we can now "core balance" turbines. This is the ultimate in turbine engine balancing as it is performed with the turbine assembled with no need to dismantle or disturb the rotor assembly. I believe this is a great leap forward for us here at AusJets to be able to make this service available to all "Jet-Joe" and "Jet-Central" turbine owners.

Pictured here is a JJ-1800 turbine assembly mounted on a Schenck CAB-960H balancing machine, this type of balancing machine is also used by many civil and military aircraft maintenance facilities to balance a large range of mid sized and small turbine rotatives. 

All turbines serviced by us which have the rotor disassembled to replace bearings or for any other maintenance or repair, are core balanced after the work is completed, this will provide a turbine with smoother operation and crisper acceleration with less stress to the bearings.

All core balances are taken down into single figure tolerances in the mg-in range, which is beyond what is achievable by normal hand static balancing procedures. Core balancing will also be available as a separate service if the customer so wishes.
